Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-08-04

The short version

Atlas collects nothing. Your photos are not uploaded, and your stamps and collection never leave the app’s own container on your device.

How photos are used

With your permission, Atlas uses Apple’s PhotoKit to read only the dates and locations of photos on your device. It uses that information to find trips and make stamps. This processing happens entirely on your device.

Where stamps are stored

Generated stamps and your collection are stored in the app’s own container on your device. We have no server and do not receive your photos, stamps, or travel history.

Accounts, analytics, tracking, and advertising

Atlas has no accounts, analytics, tracking, or advertising. The only data that can ever leave your device is the optional reverse-geocoding request described below.

Optional place naming

Atlas can optionally use Apple’s CLGeocoder reverse-geocoding service to turn a coordinate into a place name. When you use it, the coordinate is sent to Apple’s service; we do not receive it. This feature is optional, and the app works without it.
